BaiBoard - Collaborative Whiteboard App Reviews

I’m on Maverick, good App but crashes on each load. Hope it ‘ll be corrected.

Sync is quite easy established Only aspect that needs improvement is: - the delay when you draw on the iPad and 10-15 sec till you see the result on the Mac - zooming on the iPad surface - full screen on the Mac big potential if above is fixed

I always wondered: why cant someone make a simple whiteboard software that brings the joy of whiteboarding to the computer. And here it is. Simple and beautiful. I just wish there was a rubber. And the select function should be more precise. That would make this thing perfect.

No frills, but gets the job done with a tastefully minimal interface. However, the recent update seems to have broken undo.

As a teacher, this is a really cool app for me, especially when Im teaching online. Unlike many other whiteboard apps, with BaiBoard you have the ability to type text onto the page. However, I wish it had a record option! Id love to be able to make videos for my students using this app. That would make it perfect!

I needed/still need a whiteboard application to mimic how I would use a whiteboard in an office. I need to use mostly text with some lines and other shapes. This seems to be the only application of its kind where you can type multiple lines of text in different colors. However, after two days of trying to get this thing to work, Im uninstalling it. First, the sync crashed and I lost a bunch of data that I had been working on for a while. Im holding my breath to see if it will crash again. Will someone develop a whiteboard app that expands to the whole desktop space, uses text, and saves locally? Please. Greg

Frustrating/Impossible to get something simple like drawing an arrow to work. Apparently no ability to see recently created files. I created one file, synced it and apparently have no way to retrieve it. I see why this is version 1, and its free, but its still not ready for release. Theres zero online support for it from what I can tell. Maybe by version 2 it will be ready.

semms to be good. works well. cross platform being the best feature with cloud support. the board ids are confusing and i dont understadn why it is that way.

Would love to be able to take the window fullscreen for teaching purposes.

This app is very good. The developer is very responsive to email and the app works well with a Wacom tablet. Very well done!

When you try drawing or typing something onto the whiteboard space, it doesnt appear as youre doing it, but until AFTER you click on something else. So you have to imagine what it is youre drawing or typing as youre doing it and then click on something else to make it appear. Also, there is no way to manage different boards; you can only view and edit recent boards, but you cant name them, move them, or even delete them. You can delete what you have on it, but not the board itself. Using a specific font is meaningless since when it snaps back to the default font as soon as you move on to something else. There are so many minor glitches and annoyances such as these that using Baiboard is too frustrating to be able to work with.

I really want to use this app buy it needs proxy support, somthing many schools use for filtering

This is a decent complementary app for the iPad version of BaiBoard. Although the Mac version is not as feature rich as the iPad version, it serves as a good complementary that lets user to access the saved work. It is one of the a few collaboration app that offers that many widgets.

This is the best whiteboard app around in terms of functionality. You can place jpegs onto the whiteboard and the fidelity of the writing tools are top notch. However it crashes every time I use it. If it didn’t crash, I’d give it 5 stars. As of right now, however, it’s unusable for me. I recommend you try it and if it works, great. But if it crashes…

but crashes way too often. Now looking for something else with similar features…

I loaded it up and when it works its pretty good. But consistently when putting an image on the board it just keeps shutting down

Worst app ever! I couldnt keep it open for longer than 5 minutes before it crashed.

The app crashes every single time I open it up on my MacBook Pro. Too bad.

When I first tried this on my Mac and iPad (iOS app), it just wasn’t up to par. BaiBoard has come a long way, BUT, I’m not able to find the “stencils” on the Mac app as I am on the iOS app. Please fix. :)

Great for the screencasts I do. I tried lots of diff software like Autdoesk Sketchbook and Baiboard is by far the most intuitive to use and has the most non-intrusive UI :)
